For public and private tenants who experience domestic violence, there are special provisions in NSW tenancy law.
This webinar will outline when tenancy law may help:
- if your client needs to move out
- if your client needs the perpetrator to move out
- if your client needs to change the locks
- if there is damage to the property
- DCJ/FACS Housing policies that may apply in cases of domestic violence.
This workshop will be valuable to all community workers and volunteers in NSW, in eg. housing services, Women's Domestic Violence services and community legal centres.
Presenter: Amanda Brooker, Tenants' Advocate at RLC's Inner Sydney Tenants Advice & Advocacy Service
