Domestic Violence and Tenancy in NSW
Video recording will be available to registrants and subscribers - more on Annual subscriptions
For public and private tenants who experience domestic violence, there are special provisions in NSW tenancy law.
This webinar will outline when tenancy law may help:
- if your client needs to move out
- if your client needs the perpetrator to move out
- if your client needs to change the locks
- if there is damage to the property
- DCJ/FACS Housing policies that may apply in cases of domestic violence.
In 2019 some new provisions were added to the NSW law. This webinar will cover the pre-existing provisions and the new provisions.
This workshop will be valuable to all community workers and volunteers in NSW, in eg. housing services, Women's Domestic Violence services and community legal centres.
