This free webinar presented by the Employment Rights Legal Service. will cover all the different ways someone can be underpaid, how to spot an underpayment, and what steps to take if you have been underpaid.
Underpayment can happen in many forms – from being paid below the minimum wage, missing out on overtime and penalty rates, to not being paid at all. Every worker is entitled to minimum pay rates, paid leave, allowances, and other important entitlements – and these cannot be waived or negotiated away.
In this session, we’ll break down the many ways underpayments can occur, how to recognise when you're not being paid correctly, and what steps you can take if you think you're being underpaid. Whether you're an employee looking to understand your rights or someone who wants to support fair work practices, this webinar will equip you with the knowledge and tools to take action.
Seri Feldman-Gubbay a specialist employment and discrimination law practitioner will be presenting the session.
Seri is a Senior Solicitor at Redfern Legal Centre and assists with delivering the Employment Rights Legal Service, a statewide employment rights service in NSW servicing migrant and vulnerable workers.
