Our Annual Report highlights Redfern Legal Centre's (RLC) impact and key initiatives from 2023-2024.
RLC has worked alongside communities, individuals, and organisations to drive justice and equality, expanding outreach efforts to assist thousands of disadvantaged people across New South Wales.
Through partnerships and advocacy, we’ve worked to challenge inequality and push for policy and law reforms.
Our First Nations Justice team strengthened ties with local First Nations organisations, delivering vital community-based services.
In March 2024, RLC helped launched the report Let’s Talk About Confidentiality: NDA Use in Sexual Harassment Settlements, which sparked national discussions and led to reforms in how NDAs are used in sexual harassment cases.
We also co-published a report on COVID fines for children in New South Wales, calling for reforms to the fines system.
RLC was part of a national coalition that co-designed a visa reform pilot to protect migrant workers from exploitation.
After over a decade of advocacy, the NSW Labor Government announced plans to end no-grounds evictions, a significant win for tenants.
Our Financial Abuse Service, now funded by the NSW Government, continues to grow as a statewide resource.
We are deeply grateful for the dedication of our staff, volunteers, partners, and supporters, whose work drives lasting change.
