We provide free statewide legal advice and support to NSW international students.
About this service
Redfern Legal Centre's International Student Legal Service NSW gives free, confidential legal advice to international students studying in New South Wales. The International Student Legal Service is independent of the government.
You can speak with one of our experienced solicitors to get free and confidential legal advice about issues including:
- Housing problems
- Employment
- Sexual assault and sexual harassment
- Complaints about colleges or universities
- Fines
- Debts
- Car accidents
- Discrimination
- Family law
- Domestic violence
The service is funded by Study NSW, a unit of the NSW Government set up to support international students across the state. In-kind support is provided by City of Sydney.

This free service is available to international students enrolled to study anywhere in NSW. Learn more about accessing our services.
