We wish to clarify that general application fees did not increase on 1 January 2014 when these matters transitioned from the Consumer, Trader and Tenancy Tribunal to the NCAT.
The creation of NCAT did, however, see the retirement of rehearing applications ($38) and the introduction of applications to have orders set aside ($78 later increased to $97) and applications for appeals ($317 later increased to $396). This has meant that some of those parties who would have normally lodged rehearing applications in the CTTT experienced a significant fee increase with the creation of NCAT.
