About 16 per cent of Australian women and 7 per cent of men will experience it in their lifetime, according to RMIT University.
As the pandemic drags on, more and more people are reporting family violence, including financial abuse, say family violence service providers.
And many people say they're experiencing this sort of abuse for the first time.
