'CEO Joanna Shulman has questioned the Federal budget's allocation of 16.7 million dollars to a DV awareness campaign when cuts on the ground could leave women and children without access to legal advice.
Ms Shulman says as funding to other free legal aid diminishes, many of the Centre's clients will be unable to access other legal services due to financial barriers.
She says the scaling back of legal services could have a snowball effect on the costs of other government services.'
