16 December 2015 It has been five years since the NSW Police Force was tasked with improving the safety of police, drivers, passengers and innocent bystanders with a policy review of its Safe Driving Policy. NSW is still waiting for its release.

16 December 2015 RLC senior solicitor David Porter was able to bring a case-based, legal advocate’s perspective to the Police Integrity Panel at the recent Australian Public Sector Anti-Corruption Conference in November.

The NSW Government has released the Tink Review of Police Oversight, which recommended a series of structural changes to police oversight in NSW.

Earlier this year former shadow Attorney-General Andrew Tink was commissioned to review the current system of police oversight in NSW.

The RLC Police Powers Clinic is an educational program run in conjunction with the University of New South Wales. UNSW students spend one day a week at RLC over a semester, putting their legal knowledge into practice working on police issues.
