What is this webinar about?
Social housing includes both public housing and community housing. It has its own law and policy that can be very different to private rental law in NSW.
This webinar provides an overview of some common money-related issues that arise in public and community housing:
- charges - rent, water usage, tenant damage/repairs
- arrears
- subsidies - calculations and cancellation.
This webinar will be valuable to NSW community workers and volunteers who work with people applying for and living in public housing and community housing.
Presenter: Ned Cooke, Solicitor & Team Leader, Inner Sydney Tenants Advice & Advocacy Service, Redfern Legal Centre
