Factsheet: Reinstatement of the fortnightly working hours cap

This factsheet provides information for international students about allowable working hours as of 1 July 2023.

During the COVID pandemic, the Federal Government relaxed the allowable working hours cap so that the international student community could assist in meeting the workforce shortages in Australia.

Recently the Federal Government announced that it will reintroduce the allowable working cap, during term time, to 48 hours per fortnight.
