These webinars will provide lawyers with an understanding of financial abuse and its relevance to family law financial matters. The importance of addressing financial abuse during pre-action procedures and the course of proceedings will be addressed. Other avenues to address financial abuse will also be explored. |

Who is this series for? The webinars are aimed at lawyers who undertake Family Law work and are interested in gaining an understanding of the relevance of financial abuse in financial matters. A basic understanding of Family Law will be beneficial to participants.There will be opportunities to ask questions during each live event. |

Presenter: Maria Monastiriotis, Accredited Family Law Specialist, Financial Abuse Service NSW at Redfern Legal Centre. Maria has been practising family law since 1993 and has extensive experience helping clients in all facets of family law, including parenting and property matters, child support, spousal maintenance, financial agreements and de facto relationship matters. She has considerable experience in advocacy as well as mediations and settlements by negotiation. Maria has presented to lawyers for the College of Law and Legalwise, as well as RLC. |
