Solicitor Sean Stimson, the head of Redfern Legal Centre’s International Student Service NSW, has been awarded the NSW Human Rights Medal in recognition of services rendered to the 260,000 international students studying across NSW.

12 September 2018 – Mr Chris Hayes MP (Fowler—Chief Opposition Whip) outlined his support for the Modern Slavery Bill 2018, citing RLC's submission to the 2017 Inquiry into establishing a Modern Slavery Act in Australia.

Redfern Legal Centre's International Student Legal Service NSW has partnered with City of Sydney and Study NSW on a new education resource about sexual assault, available in 11 different languages.
