We have even had the baffling situation of a person arrested, taken to the station and held in custody only to be issued with on-the-spot paperwork. This is such a fundamental misunderstanding of the power to arrest that we do everything we can to encourage these clients to pursue claims - whether that be through RLC, Legal Aid or private solicitors.
