The awards were announced at the ACOSS conference in Adelaide on 25 March 2013. The Social Impact category recognises an individual, organisation or network that has made an outstanding contribution to social justice in Australia through oplicy development, advocacy, leadership or representation.
Redfern Legal Centre congratulates Project Respect, the category winner, and the other finalists Angelhands, Child Wise and the Yellow Van Food Rescue. Across all categories, the passion, committment and ability of organisations and individuals to deliver social justice outcomes to the community were outstanding. Congratulations also to HESTA for supporting the work of community organisations.
