What is this webinar about?
The impact of financial abuse often continues long past the end of a relationship. Dealing with a car loan after the end of an abusive relationship can be complex, as there is no one-size-fits-all solution.
This webinar will explore the different options that caseworkers have for helping their clients deal with car loans. It will provide practical guidance on tailoring a strategy to fit the client’s situation and to meet their objectives. We will cover scenarios involving joint loans, car registration, repossession, hardship, property settlements and more.
Who is this webinar for: The webinar will be relevant to community workers and volunteers in services such as financial counselling, domestic violence, women's refuges and community legal centres. The information is applicable Australia-wide. The webinar focuses on financial abuse in intimate partner relationships, not elder abuse.
