Position Vacant: Legal Support Officer – Financial Abuse Service NSW

Redfern Legal Centre is seeking a Legal Support Officer on a part-time fixed-term contract within the new Financial Abuse Service NSW.

Redfern Legal Centre works to redress inequalities in the legal system that adversely and disproportionately affect people experiencing vulnerability. The Centre pursues social change and law reform to reduce these inequalities.

The Legal Support Officer is responsible for providing a range of client intake and administrative services to support the Financial Abuse Service NSW.

Status: Part-time (21 hours to be divided over 4 – 5 days, must be available Mondays and Wednesdays), contract 18 months.

Salary and benefits: $69,388-74,051 pro rata ($41,633-$44,430 for 21 hour week), depending on qualifications and experience.

Superannuation and annual leave loading is paid in addition to this and salary packaging* is available. In addition to being a flexible workplace, RLC offers a 35-hour working week, time in lieu options and a paid Christmas closure of 2 weeks (including public holidays) on top of 4 weeks annual leave.
