Position vacant: Family Law Solicitor – Financial Abuse Service NSW
Redfern Legal Centre is seeking a full-time Solicitor on a fixed-term contract to work within the new Financial Abuse Service NSW. Applications are now closed.
Redfern Legal Centre works to redress inequalities in the legal system that adversely and disproportionately affect people experiencing vulnerability. The Centre pursues social change and law reform to reduce these inequalities.
The primary responsibility of the Family Law Solicitor is to provide legal advice and casework to victims of financial abuse in the area of family law, in particular property and finance disputes. The solicitor will also contribute to the community legal education, law reform and policy work of the service. The solicitor may supervise, train, and mentor volunteers to provide this service.
Status: Full time (35 hours), contract 18 months
Salary: $86,894 - $94,915 p.a. depending on qualifications and experience. Superannuation and annual leave loading is paid in addition to this and salary packaging* is available.
