Positions Vacant: Migrant Employment Service

Several positions are available to support the establishment and delivery of the Migrant Employment Service, an exciting new collaboration between Marrickville, Kingsford, Redfern and Inner City Legal Centres.

In a joint project, the Centres are establishing a state-wide legal service to address the employment exploitation of migrant workers.

Solicitor – Migrant Employment Service

Redfern Legal Centre is seeking to fill a Graduate Lawyer position for 12 months within the newly established Migrant Employment Service. The position is part time (28 hours per week) for 12 months.

This position will be based at the Redfern Legal Centre office and will liaise with the project’s coordinator, community worker and solicitors in various locations.

Project Coordinator – Migrant Employment Service

Inner City Legal Centre is seeking a Project Coordinator to help establish and run the Migrant Employment Service. This is a part-time (three days per week) 12-month position, with a possible extension to three years, based at the Marrickville Legal Centre’s Dulwich Hill office and employed by Inner City Legal Centre.

Migrant Community Worker – Migrant Employment Service

Marrickville Legal Centre is seeking a Migrant Community Worker to help deliver the Migrant Employment Service. This is a part-time 12-month position, with a possible extension to three years, based at the Marrickville Legal Centre’s Dulwich Hill office.

The successful applicant will be required to engage with members of our culturally and linguistically diverse (CALD) communities raising awareness about their workplace rights, and referring migrant workers needing legal assistance to the service.
