Position Vacant: Client Intake Supervisor
Redfern Legal Centre (RLC) is looking for a dynamic individual to assist people experiencing vulnerability to navigate the legal assistance sector, and to train and mentor law students in client intake.
RLC works to redress inequalities in the legal system that adversely and disproportionately affect people experiencing vulnerability. The Centre pursues social change and law reform to reduce these inequalities.
The reception of RLC provides a gateway to the legal assistance sector for people experiencing vulnerability.
The role of the supervisor is to oversee the legal triage, intake and referral activities of the reception in a high volume and demanding environment. This includes supervising and mentoring a team of law students, assisting people experiencing vulnerability to navigate the legal assistance sector and ensuring a culturally safe and welcoming environment.
The successful person will have highly developed time management skills with the ability to prioritise work and achieve deadlines, excellent communication skills and experience working with people experiencing vulnerability with an understanding of how to provide an appropriate service that meets their needs.
Status: Part time (21 hours), permanent.
Salary and benefits: $77,308 - $82,258 p.a. ($46,383 - $49,455 pro rata for 21 hours per week) depending on qualifications and experience.
Superannuation and annual leave loading is paid in addition to this and salary packaging* is available.
In addition to being a flexible workplace, RLC offers a 35-hour working week, time in lieu options and a paid Christmas closure of 2 weeks (including public holidays) on top of 4 weeks annual leave.
