Positions Vacant: Tenant Advocates / Solicitors (Full and Part-time)
Opportunity to join our Tenancy Team, assisting clients at risk of eviction and homelessness, law reform projects.
Redfern Legal Centre works to address inequalities in the legal system and provides free legal assistance to clients in the Inner Sydney community and across NSW . The Centre has a long and proud history of standing up for the rights of people who experience disadvantage in our community.
We are seeking motivated advocates to join RLC’s Inner Sydney Tenants’ Advice and Advocacy Service. You will provide advice, advocacy and representation to clients, deliver community legal education, draft publications and work on law reform projects. The position is open to non-solicitors. Some experience in residential tenancy law is desirable but consideration will be given to applicants with other relevant experience in the legal and/or community sectors. Most appearances will be before the NSW Civil and Administrative Tribunal.
Status: Full and part-time contract positions available (21-35 hours per week). Please indicate your preference on your application.
Salary and benefits: $74,795 - $81,698 p.a. (pro-rata) depending on qualifications and experience.
Superannuation and annual leave loading is paid in addition to this and salary packaging* is available. In addition to being a flexible workplace, RLC offers a 35 hour working week and time in lieu options.
